Kellen Acquisitions Ltd is a company formed at the direction of Terra Firma, a well-established private equity manager founded by Guy Hands in 1994. It invests funds that are raised from financial institutions and other large investors.
Terra Firma is a long-term investor and works closely with the management teams of the companies that it invests in.
Terra Firma has extensive experience of owning and operating both companies in the UK utilities sector (Angel Trains, Shanks, Waste Recycling) and consumer businesses (William Hill, Unique Pub Company, Threshers).
Phoenix Natural Gas was formerly owned by East Surrey Holdings PLC, a water and gas utility based in the South East of England.
